At the center of a group of buildings stands the stately mountain inn, built in the 1970s. From here, the view sweeps over fields of alpine roses up to the Scaletta Glacier. The Dürrboden mountain inn is an ideal starting point for many wonderful experiences: beautiful hikes through the breathtaking nature of Graubünden, exciting bike tours, and nostalgic horse-drawn carriage rides.

The inn offers several unique features, particularly regarding its energy supply. The electricity for the restaurant is generated by its own water turbine, while the dining room is heated by a Canadian wood-burning stove. A certified spring on site supplies the required drinking and service water.
Since our hydroelectric turbine produces approximately 10 kW of electricity, we have to use it very sparingly and only use electricity for the bare essentials. That's why we cook with a gas stove and our gas and charcoal grills.
